Spolu s dobrou správou, že obsah OECD iLibrary bude voľne dostupný od júla 2024, prichádza aj zlá správa, že bude presunutý na novú webovú stránku bez akýchkoľvek pokročilejších vyhľadávacích funkcií, ktoré potrebujú profesionálni používatelia. Dôjde aj k strate obsahu, keďže väčšina starších dokumentov sivej literatúry nebude zo súčasnej webovej stránky OECD presunutá.

Strata funkcií a strata obsahu je zlá vec, preto chceme v Coherent Digital pomôcť používateľom iLibrary zachovať funkcie a dokumenty, ktoré potrebujú. Preto sme všetku sivú literatúru OECD.org a všetky dokumenty OECD indexovali do databázy Policy Commons: Global Think Tanks, kde budú k dispozícii spolu s dokumentmi Svetovej banky, MMF, IEA, Ázijskej rozvojovej banky a obsahom viac ako 15 000 ďalších mimovládnych organizácií, medzivládnych organizácií a think tankov.

With the good news that the OECD iLibrary will move to Open access in July 2024 comes the bad news that it will be moved to a new website with none of the scholarly search features you need. There will also be a loss of content, as most of the older grey literature documents will not be migrated from the current OECD website. Lost functionality and lost content is a bad thing, so at Coherent Digital we want to help iLibrary customers retain the features and documents they need. That's why we have indexed all the OECD.org grey literature and all the OECD iLibrary documents into Policy Commons, where it will sit alongside documents from the World Bank, IMF, IEA, Asian Development Bank and content from more than 15,000 other NGOs, IGOs and Think Tanks.
